
From the opening whistle, both sides showed plenty of physicality and determination. Jersey were particularly strong at set piece, putting the Lions scrum and lineout under pressure throughout the afternoon. Leicester, however, produced an excellent defensive display, repeatedly frustrating Jersey’s attacking efforts and keeping the visitors from turning pressure into points.

The Lions then scored midway through the first half when winger Roman Priestley-Nangle crossed the whitewash following a well-worked attacking move.
Leicester continued to defend strongly and went into half-time with a narrow 10–5 advantage.
The second half was every bit as competitive, with both teams battling hard for territory and possession. Jersey’s strength at the set piece continued to cause problems, while the Lions’ defense remained resolute under pressure.
As the match entered its final stages, Leicester managed to create the opportunity they needed. In the last play of the game, scrum-half Louis Roumignac crossed for the Lions’ fourth try, securing the crucial bonus point and completing a 30–17 victory.
