The Lions under 11’s had a great day out playing away at Burton on Trent. The weather turned out really well after a forecast of rain. We played 2 games against Burton who were a nice bunch of guys and who were a similar standard to us. This made it interesting as both games were very close.

The first game saw a good start by the Lions. We put pressure on Burton and didn’t allow them room or time to organise. We saw tries gained by Olivia, Jack, Kieran and Callum. In the second half Burton came back stronger after a team talk and in the end beat us by a try.

The second game against Burton was also a very close affair. The game saw some great tackling by the Lions who had really got more organised in defence. The Lions scored tries by Jack, Callum, Lewis and Edward. The Lions won this game beating Burton by a try. Well done Lions good team work by all. Thanks to Burton for being great hosts and a really nice bunch of guys.
