Following a Hinckley kick ahead Lions' Devon Constant collected the ball, surged through to slip a pass to No 8 Devon Hartwell who went over for the try. Soon after Lions put Hinckley under pressure and Danny Hartwell charged through to score his second try, converted by Jon Boden.

For Lions Benjamin Marfo started a run from fullback, slipped the ball to Devon Constant who fed the ball to Alex Smit who scored the try, converted by Jon Boden.

Persistent play by Hinckley gave them a try towards the end of the first half, with Alex Crocker finding a hole in the Lions' defence and Joe Wilson adding the conversion.

Lions' Jon Boden finished off the first half with a penalty.

Following a lovely switch move in the centre Lions' Luke Veebel carved through the Hinckley defence to score a try, with Jon Boden adding the conversion.

Full Time: Leicester Lions 49 Hinckley 12

A most pleasing victory for Lions at their last home game of the season.

Lions' head coach, Andy Key, remarked that it had been a good competitive game. This was a good all round performance by Lions, with the lads showing their skills for a good victory against a plucky Hinckley side, who fought hard throughout the game.

Following this week’s games Leicester Lions are in third position in National League 2 North, with Caldy as league leaders. Hinckley is in ninth position in the league.
