Broadstreet Match Report

The Lions started the first half the brighter side going ahead by two penalty kicks early on. Broadstreet clawed back the scores but Lions still looked to be on top only hindered by little mistakes and not finishing opportunities. Following a superb driving maul from the Lions, brought down just short of the visitors line, pressure continued and a try came after breaking down the defence, scored by Rob Young. Lions went in to half time with a 13-6 lead.

The second half was almost one to be forgotten for the Lions. Riddled with mistakes, dropped balls and frustration, it seemed the Lions could not buy a try. Broadstreet saw a total of 4 yellow cards but still managed to score two tries to Lions none. The first came only 4 minutes in and the second later on in the half.

Unfortunately the game was scrapped out and Broadstreet had the edge in this department this week. The Lions were left frustrated and unable to take control of the game. Perhaps the one that got away.

The Lions will be addressing their position and look to put this week behind them as they head into the challenging run up to Christmas.
